York Acorn's Thanet Road base is to host a girls' rugby league development day aimed at girls in school years seven to 11.
All the basic core skills from scratch will be covered so girls of any ability and experience will be welcome.
It will be held on Friday, June 4 from 10am to 3pm, led by a fully qualified female coach. The cost is just £2.
For an application form call in at the club or contact Gill Blackburn on 01904 795874 or 01904 330351. The closing date is May 28.
Blackburn said: "The aim of the day is to raise the profile and potential of girls' participation in rugby league and hopefully get a team going in York."
Anyone interested in helping out with donations, sponsorship or raffle prizes is asked to contact Gill Blackburn on the above numbers.
