SOAKING "Sir" with water proved a real hit with youngsters at a York school fair.
Eager pupils lined up to drench teachers stuck in the stocks at Copmanthorpe Primary School's spring craft fair on Saturday.
Head teacher Judith Rigg said other highlights of the day included a huge inflatable slide, a balloon race, magic shows and a wide range of children's games, including welly throwing.
She said: "We were really pleased with how the day went. With the weather being so nice we could go outside.
"We had a lot of parents, relatives, ex-pupils and new pupils attend.
"It's been a great community effort. The children had lots of fun."
More than £2,000 was raised at the event and this will help provide new equipment in computer classrooms.
