MY 85-year-old husband was only a few minutes from home after visiting the local shops on his scooter when he was found half on and half off it by a kind Samaritan gentleman who was passing.
He helped him off the scooter, talked to him then two women living nearby also came to assist him and called the ambulance. They all saw him into the ambulance then delivered his scooter and shopping to our home, for which we cannot thank them enough.
I arrived home about 30 minutes later to be told about the incident and received his scooter ignition key from my neighbour.
Happily, I was able to fetch him home from hospital later in the afternoon and he seems to be recovering well.
I sincerely thank all those who helped for their care and concern.
