TEAMS and individual players are welcome to enter an all-new adult tag rugby tournament to be staged at Oaklands School on Wednesday May 19, starting at 7pm.
The seven-a-side competition is for squads of between seven and ten players, men and women of all standards.
Teams can enter either by contacting organiser Tony Gargan on 07736 040804 or by turning up on the night. Anyone unable to get a full team together can also turn up to make up more teams on the night.
As reported by the Press, the new-look competition is being organised on the back of successful schools tag rugby tournaments and the organisers are hopeful of making them a regular thing.
Squads already set to take part include a York Primary Schools Teachers team, a York City Council Sports Section side, a team from Donnelly's printers and one from Oaklands Schools Partnership. It is likely to be played in a round-robin format.
