THE London Community Gospel Choir has sung on the soundtrack of Walt Disney's The Lion King, performed for Nelson Mandela and represented the British Council in Zambia and Zimbabwe.
What's more, the choir has opened the main stage at Glastonbury and put gospel on the BBC Proms map for the first time.
Next Saturday, the Londoners will be performing at the Pocklington Arts Festival in a 7.30pm concert at All Saints Church, Pocklington.
Formed in 1982, the London Community Gospel Choir is known for its up-tempo gospel flair, swing beat, R&B, traditional and soulful arrangements and for its invigorating choreography and vocal gymnastics.
Tickets cost £14.50 on 01759 301547.
