Dunnington retained the President's Challenge Trophy when they defeated Acomb by five wickets in an absorbing game to claim the trophy for the fourth successive year.
After Andy Tute was smartly stumped by Paul Miles, Richard Sykes and Sanjay Rodrigo put together a fine stand for Acomb's second wicket as they dominated the Dunnington bowlers with a partnership which added a record 152 runs.
The entry of Collis King into the attack saw Rodrigo trapped lbw for an entertaining 86. Sykes had progressed to 66 when he danced down the wicket to Ajaz Akhtar to present Miles with a simple stumping.
The wicketkeeper then added a third stumping to help King reach figures of 3-43 as Acomb's innings closed on 196-5.
Dunnington were given a fine start by Hamed Khan and teenager James Bolam who added 83 before the youngster fell to a fine boundary catch by Andy Tute for 22.
The home supporters' hopes of seeing another big innings from King were quickly dashed when youthful Andy Jacques produced a dream ball which bowled the West Indian star for just two and earned a sporting acknowledgement from the departing batsman.
Khan was then joined in a 40-run third-wicket stand by Harwood Williams as the pair moved to 127 before the opener was caught by Leon Sacks off Rodrigo's bowling for 74.
Williams then completely dominated the remainder of the innings with his partners contributing a mere 16 runs as the one time Leeward Islands player cracked an unbeaten 74 to take his side to a five wicket triumph with eight deliveries to spare.
