According to rumours, a "well-placed source" and Evening Press reporter Matthew Woodcock, Mr and Mrs Beckham are gracing York with their presence during the Ascot meeting next year.
Gosh! How fantastic!
Does anyone care?
This rumour seems to be remarkably similar to one a few years ago concerning the same "golden couple", when it concerned Brooklyn's christening/first birthday party (delete as necessary), a second couple getting married, a hotel and a sizeable cash incentive for the said second couple to change their wedding plans. The words "urban myth" spring to mind.
Matthew, I suggest you read Shakepeare's play, The Merchant Of Venice.
The Prince of Morocco, when trying to gain Portia's hand in marriage says: "All that glisters is not golden."
Mr Woodcock please take off those hyperbolical specs.
Peter Taylor,
Hobgate,
Acomb, York.
