ENERGETIC youngsters from Tang Hall Primary School in York skipped and ran to raise cash for children with cancer.
The school held a day of activities based on the number 26 - to link with the 26-mile London Marathon, to raise cash for children with Leukaemia. Children were sponsored to do 26 skips, 26 throws and catches, collect 26 bags of rubbish, run 26 laps of the playground in 26 minutes and score 26 goals. A spokesperson for the school said about £1,000 had been raised during the event.
