HE has vast experience in the theatre and was event manager for the Millennium Mystery Plays. When it comes to staging big shows, Ben Pugh knows what he is talking about.
So we take heart from his report which says there is nothing to stop a new production of the York Mystery Plays.
Mr Pugh believes it is too much to ask that the plays are performed next year. He suggests summer 2006 instead.
Nevertheless, it is a positive verdict which will please all those who supported our campaign to save the plays.
Now it's official. The show can - and must - go on.
