Amotherby & Swinton are on course to take the second promotion spot in Leeper Hare York and District League division three as they catch up with games in hand.
Following two mid-week wins they overcame the potentially difficult challenge of beating Hemingbrough 2-1 with goals from Wayne Calvert and Matthew Hood.
Dave Young scored from the penalty spot for Hemingbrough. Strensall kept their outside chance with a 1-0 win at Norton courtesy of a goal from Nigel Lyle but White Horse faltered as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Rawcliffe Rangers.
The home side went two up through Darren Heels and Geoff Hunter.
