Harrogate were beaten 42-24 at home to Moseley after having led 17-0 after 25 minutes of the National League Two match.
Harrogate seemed to take their foot of the pedal and
allowed Moseley to pull back to within three points before half time.
Playing in a heatwave and with an exhausting midweek performance behind them in the Yorkshire Cup they appeared to be suffering from fatigue as Moseley went on to score a total of 42 points.
Harrogate rallied briefly in
the final ten minutes but this time the margin was too great.
Harrogate's successful driving mauls set up early tries for props Gabriel and Wilson with one conversion by fly half Cholewa.
Full back Smithies then
gathered a long kick from Moseley fly half Thomas in his own half and carried the ball over the half way line.
He then collected his own kick ahead and fed wing Tapster for a try, which thrilled the crowd.
The turning point of the game followed a penalty try awarded to Moseley for a Harrogate offence at a scrum close to their line. Thomas added the conversion.
As Harrogate protested, flanker Hobson was shown the yellow card and Moseley took advantage with a try from full back Binns who broke through several tackles and touched down for Thomas to convert.
Some further tired tackling from Harrogate allowed Moseley second row Samra to shrug off Harrogate players for his try after 15 minutes of the second half.
Both sides brought on replacements to introduce fresh legs and Moseley's replacement prop Sigley was on the end of a big overlap for his try.
Moseley's impressive left wing Aston added two excellent tries and their replacement fly half Macdonald added the conversions.
During Harrogate's rally number 8 Cook finished off some lively play with a try, which Cholewa converted.
