CARLTON Towers bowler Paul Wright took a hat-trick and four wickets in the over in the York and District Senior League division one match at home to Hornsea.
Paul Johnson made 80 and Richard Medforth 72 in a 141 run stand for Hornsea's fourth wicket, but Wright produced a devastating over which saw him grab a hat-trick and a further wicket and his 6 for 44 had Hornsea all out for 206.
Wright then followed with 43 and teenager Chris Pitts made 27 but Aussie Ty Shield took 3-46 before Carlton's last pair held out for seven overs to gain a draw at 161-9.
Osbaldwick's overseas recruit Glen Jones, from Melbourne, made an immediate impact when his seven wickets for only eight runs pegged Tadcaster Magnet to 114-8 to set up a two wicket win to set Osbaldwick on course for a speedy return to the top flight.
Malton and Old Malton flagged up their promotion ambitions with a 68 run win over Duncombe Park, Darren Wyrill hitting 73 and Ryan Bulger claiming 6-42.
