QUITE a few players had their worst game in a York City Knights shirt against Hunslet last Sunday.
I think we can just put it down as a bad day at the office and put it behind us.
My only criticism is that it is not acceptable to select a player in a key position to play about 15 minutes only and not return later.
If the player is injured, then fine, but if he is not fit enough to contribute any more than 15 minutes then he should not even be in the squad to start with.
How must players such as Mark Stewart and Mick Ramsden feel?
They always give 100 per cent whether it's playing or training and usually also train on their so-called nights off. In Ramsden's case, he is a York lad who is extremely proud and passionate about playing for his home town club.
If guys such as Stewart and Ramsden get selected against Featherstone tomorrow and do the business they should keep their places in the squad for the next league game.
Those players who were maybe not quite fired up enough will then have to earn their place back in the squad.
The attendance against Hunslet was very good considering the weather, but we need to make even more noise than usual when things are not going well. Let's do our bit.
