GORDON Fennell (York Nomads) topped Saturday's 51-entry at the Willows from peg 34 on Goldrush.
Neglecting the silver fish and going all-out for carp, he targeted the snags with cat meat for a 36lb net of fish to 3lb.
Dennis Gelderd (York Nomads) had the best weight on Ridgepool from peg 23 where he alternated pellet and paste to the island for 35lb of quality carp to 6lb.

The Bank Holiday Monday open drew 46 anglers to the Willows where Andy Rymer (GTI Walton) took top spot from peg five on Ridgepool. Swapping between corn and pellets he took carp and tench fishing long pole to the island for his winning 46lb 10oz.
Paul Gallagher (Willows) used his knowledge of the venue to good effect from peg 29 on the same lake as the winner. Fishing pellet on a variety of lines he netted 20 small chub, five barbel and some carp for his 40lb 8oz

The sell-out field of 30 at Raker Lakes enjoyed good sport on Horseshoe Lake on Sunday with Wayne Nolan (Team Gem) continuing his good recent form.
Drawn on peg 21 he fished floating pole tight across to the far-side at 19 metres with corn for 59lb 12oz of carp to 4lb. John Cosgrove (York Tackle) was on peg 18 where he used identical tactics for his all carp 43lb 13oz.

After winning Sunday's 40-peg Bob.Co spring series at Carpvale from lucky peg one, Simon Shepherd (Leeds) returned home £300 richer.

The best match of the year so far at Woodlands saw the top three all break the ton barrier in Sunday's 103-entry.
York star Dean Smith (Tekneek Trabucco Elton) led the rout taking full advantage of his corner peg draw on Skylark one. Fishing to the corner boards with meat his all carp net of fish to 7lb scaled in at a huge 134lb 2oz.
Tony Leeming (Elton Tackle) took second from Partridge four with another big net of 114lb 15oz. Fishing up in the water at 13 metres with meat and pellets he netted carp to 5lb.

The funeral of Ben Coulson, an England U21 angler who was killed in a hit and run road accident, will be held at 2pm on Monday at Copmanthorpe Metho-dist Church, followed by a wake at the Royal Oak in Copmanthorpe.
