PAT Cairns was Slip's star hitting 174 then closing on a two-dart 57 in their York John Smith's Ladies League division one match at Slipper before following up in the pairs with 121 and 100 for 21 with Claire Robinson.
Dringhouses bowled out Phoenix 6-3 despite being a player short, while Carol Price ensured Holgate went home from Independent with match points, securing her game for a 5-0 advantage.
Cygnet 'C' cleaned up in the pairs to secure a 7-2 win at Clifton. Cueball 'B' also rallied in the pairs for a 6-3 victory at Cygnet 'A', Tracey Farmeary starring with three 100s.
In division two, Barbara Ward was Tang Hall WMC's star, being involved in both their points at Cygnet 'B'.
Linda O'Leary partnered Pat Hurst to seal a 5-4 result at Ship for Shepherd 'A'. Shepherd 'B' also got off to a good start eclipsing Sun 6-3. Blacksmiths secured the match through Maureen Ferguson-Sue Wells against Clifton 'B'.
Sam Jamieson won the deciding pairs playing a lone hand for Volunteer 'A' at Acomb in division three.
June Miller-Margaret Price secured a 5-4 victory for Cueball 'A' at the expense of Leeman 'A'.
Leeman 'D' raced into a 3-0 lead before Doreen England replied for Woolpack. The visitors' revival was short-lived as they lost 6-3.
Heath Scaife, the current individual champion, started the season with a fantastic 15 darts in York John Smith's Men's League division one.
He was well backed by Mick Willsden (18), Mark Jones (20) and Owen Legg as Shepherd 'A' took the points with a 6-3 win at Crescent, who had good wins from Rich Plummer (20) and Rich Stevenson.
John Mooring shot a superb 16 darts aided by a good win from Mark Hartley. Mooring then partnered Dave Gibbons to clinch the match and give Cygnet 'A' a 6-3 result over Mitre, whose John Pickering gamed in an impressive 19 darts.
Chris Thompson (17), Rod Thompson (20), Tony Cooper (180) and Chris Thompson-Cooper (22) pushed Sun 'A' to a 6-3 win over Swan, who had a big win from Matt Ford-Lyndon Taylor.
With a 108 finish from Trevor Day, Poacher took the match points 5-4, but good games from Pete Turnbull and Garry O'Reagan gave Golden Slipper the aggregate.
In division two, Steve Snowden hit four tons for 19 darts, then Britannia went 4-2 down to Osbaldwick after good wins from Steve Machen (20) and Pete Fowler. Britannia took all the pairs to grab a 5-4 win, Mike Harrison-Tony Snowden winning the decider.
Paul Calpin (19) opened with style for Flag 'A', but Rose & Crown hit back through Graham Wilkinson (17) and a match-winning 80 finish from Paul Bartnett.
In division three, Groves grabbed a 5-4 win with the help of a 125 finish from Pete Ross, but a good team performance from Fulfordgate saved the extra point.
Rich Saville (bull finish for 21) and good wins from debutants Nic Oldfield and Andy Barker sealed an 8-1 win for Shepherd 'B' over Sun 'B'.
Division three teams should please note that Old Ebor are now playing from St Clements WMC.
