THE Leeper Hare York and District League Reserve 'A' title looks to be heading back to Dringhouses after their convincing 6-1 win against Osbaldwick while nearest rivals Kartiers were losing at Old Malton.
Dringhouses' Graham Mitchell (2), Craig Atkinson, Nick Brown, Wayne Carter and Mark Ratcliffe were on the scoresheet against relegated Osbaldwick, whose consolation came from Adam Fella.
Phil Hill struck two goals in the last quarter of the game to give Old Malton a 2-0 win which saves them from relegation.
South Bank also avoided the drop with a 3-1 win at home to Pocklington thanks to goals by Simon Kehoe, Darren Frith and John Dale. Ian Stabler netted for Pocklington.
Bishopthorpe went down 2-1 at home to St John's College. Chris Lees and Mark Leask struck for the students, whose winner came five minutes from time. Paul Broadbent hit Bishopthorpe's reply.
Dunnington took a first half lead through Nick Robinson but after the re-start Darren Grayson, Lee Stead and Tommy Oxtoby put Malton Bacon Factory in control. Although Robinson reduced the arrears with a penalty, Dunnington could not manage an equaliser.
Huntington won 2-1 at third-placed Copmanthorpe and only need one point from their last game to take the Reserve 'B' title.
Chris Dower gave Huntington the lead but Mark Allinson equalised for Copmanthorpe before Mark Gamble struck Rovers' winner.
Second-placed New Earswick won 3-2 at Wigginton Black Horse to take the second promotion spot and Barmby Moor beat Heslington with goals from Ed Williamson (2), John Schofield (2) and Phil Harper.
Luke Roberts (2) and Alistair Whitworth were Wigginton Grasshoppers' scorers in their 3-0 home win over Stamford Bridge.
Carl Kidd (3) and Paul Jacobs scored for Haxby, who had to come from behind to beat Easingwold 4-2. Mike Hartley and Lee Goodwin were Easingwold's strikers.
Three teams are still in contention for the honours in Reserve 'C'.
Hamilton Panthers and Thorpe United both recorded big wins, while the other candidates, Nestl Rowntree, were without a game.
Panthers thumped Rufforth 7-0 with goals from Lee Hall (3), Steve Gagan (2) and David Hyde (2). Thorpe went one better at Wilberfoss where James Tweedy (4), Andy Morgan, Gareth Rhodes, Barry Martland and Lee Knight notched up eight goals. Mark Hughes netted a consolation for Wilberfoss.
Reserve 'D' champions Tockwith celebrated with a 6-1 win at Norton with goals from John Walker (2), James Wardman, Nick Buckle, Phil Darley, and Phil Wardman. Will Spowart responded for Norton.
Amotherby are on course for the second promotion spot after a 4-1 win against Stillington with goals from Richard Kerrison (2), James Dawson, and Mathew Hood (pen). Graham Morrison replied.
Norwich Union have a chance of a promotion place after their latest win at the expense of York RI, where Adrian Ogden, Michael Richardson, Nick Henshaw (2), David Johnson and Richard Hunter were on target in a 6-2 victory.
Alan Thompson, Sean Cade, Rob Murphy and Dave Burgess scored in Fulford's 4-0 win over Huby.
