Pocklington Dramatic Society presents Frederick Knott's thriller, Wait Until Dark, from Wednesday for four nights next week, and not only on April 21 as stated in the Pocklington Arts Centre spring brochure.
Julia Pattison will play the lead role of Susy Henderson, the world's champion blind woman according to husband Sam.
Susy is more than a match for the schemes of Mike Trenton and Croker, two unsuccessful conmen who make her the object of their latest scheme.
Mr Roat, however, is another matter. When Susy falls prey to him, her entire world is under threat, with Sam nowhere to be found and only the moody Gloria on whom to rely. She finds herself involved in a race against time, and the outcome could well be her own death.
Julia is joined in next week's cast by Graham Underhill as Mike, Vince Jones as Croker, Mike Pickersgill as Mr Roat and Sophie Hopkins, in her Pocklington Dramatic Society debut, as truculent teenager Gloria.
Tickets for the 7.30pm performances cost £6, concessions £4, on 01759 301547.
