Magic Glade, a winner at Musselburgh last Sunday, can complete a quick double tomorrow as Thirsk racecourse opens its doors for the first time this season.
The Hambleton Classified Stakes is the target for the five-year-old, trained by Connor Dore, and the mount of apprentice Richard Thomas, who was in the saddle at Musselburgh.
That £20,000 handicap attracted a competitive field, but Magic Glade showed her rivals a clean pair of heels, leaving the impression she is a filly to follow.
Formerly trained by Roger Charlton, the sprinter looks to be thriving since joining Dore's small yard in the Midlands, having also paid her way on the all-weather before returning to turf. I make Magic Glade my Nap selection
Yorkshire Racing Club members will be cheering Up Tempo, who they own, in the Sinderby Handicap. The Kevin Ryan-trained gelding rattled-up a hat-trick of wins earlier in the week at Redcar. A 6lb penalty may not be enough to anchor him tomorrow.
Top Dirham should not be overlooked in the Carpenters Arms Felixkirk Handicap over a mile.
A winner over this course and distance last season, before landing the Carlisle Bell, Mick Easterby's gelding finished a good second at Newcastle two weeks ago.
Middleham trainer Mark Johnston could well give Thirsk a miss in favour of Newbury, where he saddles Mister Monet in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Rated Handicap.
An impressive Sandown winner last year, Mister Monet holds entries in the 2,000 Guineas and the Derby. The three-year-old will need to acquit himself well tomorrow if he is to justify his lofty future options.
Tomorrow's Tips:

Tomorrow's other meetings are at Ayr, Southwell and Taunton
