YOUNG rock and rollers in York are being given the chance to become "all shook up" about the wonder of Elvis.
The city's top Elvis impersonator, Eddie Vee, has launched a new project, giving youngsters lessons on the moves, costumes and songs of The King.
His first recruits include four-year-old Jack Williams, from Manchester, who has already been booked by several venues to sing, and Ian Ellwood, 14, from Acomb, York, who is the winner of several talent contests.
"I think it's important to bring on the next generation of Elvis impersonators," Eddie said.
"It's a great education, because Elvis was a legend and had the best songs and moves. I even try to teach his famous lip curl."
Meanwhile, budding impersonators are invited to audition for the forthcoming "Elvis Academy" event.
Elvis Academy auditions will take place at the Tap and Spile Pub in York on Wednesday, April 28, from 7.30pm. Entry forms are available from the pub.
