CHAMPIONS Sun Inn completed their Unique-Phoenix League division one programme by whitewashing Bishopthorpe SC to maintain their unbeaten record.
Kev Walton closed in 19 then added a bull finish for 21. Chris Thompson followed that with a 116 finish for 15 and 180 for 19. A brace of 17-darters from Tony Cooper (180 pairs) completed the rout. Bishopthorpe's best response came from Tony Raymond with 22 darts.
Thompson's win completed an amazing record of 2-0 victories in all of his singles matches this season.
Runners-up Shepherds SC had a maximum from Paul Botterill, a 20-darter from Heath Scaife and Chas Ramsden closing in 18 in their 7-2 win at Slipper.
Games of 17 and 18 from Pete Leake and 21 darts from Jack White, gave Cygnet 'A' victory at Alice Hawthorn.
Stu Morton included a bull finish for 17 for Acomb SC, who defeated HSC 'A', who had John Quantock out in 19. Paul Bartnett gamed in 21 then added a 110 outshot to steer Phoenix 'A' to victory at Rose & Crown.
Division two champions Cygnet 'B' had Paul Cooper out in 17 as they whitewashed Lord Nelson whose best darts came from John Spence. A 180 from Stu Jackson inspired Boot and Shoe to victory at Flag whose Steve Simpson closed out on 116 for 18.
Despite an 18-darter from Pete West, Holgate went down to Blacksmith's Arms who had Tom Hair gaming in 21 and Tony Brown notching a maximum.
Dean Smallwood and Mike Clarvis hit the tons for HSC 'B' in their demolition of Sun Inn.
The competition finals and presentation night takes place at Holgate WMC on Monday, April 19 (8.30pm start). The summer season starts on Monday, April 26.

great form
ROZ Kerr won the York John Smith's Ladies League division one individual title beating Cygnet 'C' team-mate Carole Layne 2-0 with 125, 100 in the winning leg for 24.
Leeman's Toni Smallwood secured the lower divisions championship with a 2-1 win against Cygnet 'B's Joan Cockerill - both players hitting their share of tons.
Cueball's pairing Angie Hields-Tracey Farmeary romped away with the pairs title beating Kerr and Julie Coyle 2-0. The losers were joined by Michelle Britton and successfully defended their triples title against Clifton's Ruth Norman-Liz Richford and Karen Hodgson.
Joan Hunter (Cueball 'A'), partnering Cygnet 'A's Dawn Exton, went one down in the Elsie Bell drawn pairs final to Kerr and Clifton 'B's Linda Embleton. Hunter checked on 72 to set up the decider which saw partner Exton close on double eight.
Embleton was joined by Julie Maycock in the captain/vice captain's cup but lost out to Phoenix's Diane Moreland-Babs Harrison.
Player of the night went to Joan Hunter for her good finish under pressure.
A 'Viking Invasion of York' is on the boards when Andy Fordham, the BDO World Champion visits Clarence WMC on June 22 to take on local players. All money raised will go to charity.
