A GREEN-FINGERED York resident has created a special Easter garden with global appeal.
Talented Emilia Frith, 54, has been making a special garden in St Margaret's Church, Haxby, for the last 16 years.
This year her 8ft by 6ft handiwork, outlining the death and resurrection of Christ, includes a piece of rock from Japan and branches from the Middle East.
Emilia said her children sent her the additions as they travelled the globe.
She has dedicated this year's work to Haxby priest Canon John Mortell, who was ordained 50 years ago.
Emilia said: "It gives me the greatest pleasure to see parishioners and visitors come to the garden."
Visitors are welcome to view the garden all this week.
