ON March 2 I was taken suddenly and unexpectedly ill, being taken into hospital during the night.
The care and attention I received on Wards 11 and 12 was very reassuring. My problem was thoroughly investigated, the nursing care was generous and unstinting, given cheerfully and compassionately.
Never having had kidney problems previously, my family and I were very worried.
But all the staff - the consultants, doctors, sisters, nurses and everyone - treated me with the utmost care and courtesy.
Too many complaints are made about the NHS, but we found when it really matters, the service is exceptional. Thank you to everyone at York Hospital.
