CLEARLY Chris Brass and Lee Nogan are not the men to manage the team.
The board have made a bad decision in appointing a manager who is not performing on or off the field while still paying Terry Dolan of course.
I can only hope there is a relegation clause in their contracts, because neither has the quality to get us out of the Nationwide Conference next season. I think the board need to consider what they do now.
The amount of times Brass lost his man in the first half and the amount of space the Macclesfield front line got was appalling and quite honestly it was only luck that prevented a heavier defeat.
There are some signs of hope. Sean Davies had a good game and so did Andy Bell until he was inexplicably replaced.
Sadly the basics are not there. Inept passing, games of head tennis that go nowhere, woeful finishing (or rather lack of), lack of team spirit, feeble crossing, appealing to the officials rather than playing to the whistle, lack of trust, lack of ball control...I could go on but it's too dispiriting.
My mate Andy is not going to bother again this season and I must admit parting with another £50 between now and May to watch this side is not an attractive proposition.
