YORK City youth team goalkeeper David Stockdale pulled out all the stops for Pickering Town to help them to a 2-2 draw at home to Sheffield.
The teenager was called in at the last minute after regular 'keeper Kevin Martin went down sick and was in top form to deny visitors Sheffield a Northern Counties East League premier division win.
Pikes boss Steve Brown said: "It was a game of two halves, really, the first half we should have been two or three up and in the second we didn't play at all well.
"We were just grateful to David Stockdale who came in at the last minute and did really well for us."
Peter Vasey put Pickering ahead after ten minutes and Alex Willgrass stroked home a late penalty to restore parity after Sheffield had come back to lead 2-1.
Harrogate Town kept their heads up against Stalybridge Celtic to claim a close UniBond League premier division win.
Town scored four goals - three from headers - to fend off Celtic, who had gone ahead in the fourth minute. But two goals in five minutes from Marc Smith, with a James Turley effort sandwiched in between, put Town back on top. Michael McNaughton hit the fourth in the second half before Celtic pulled two back.
Town manager John Reed said: "It was an excellent win. We still made a lot of mistakes and gave away three absolutely stupid goals, but fortunately we had our scoring boots on."
Harrogate Railway were denied a win over one-time title favourites Brigg Town after a last-minute equaliser made it 4-4.
Chris Haworth (2), Danny Spence and a Phil Rowland own goal put the Rail 4-2 up after 29 minutes after Brigg led 2-0 after 12. But two second half goals by Tom Love secured Brigg a share of the points.
A Cameron Stuart brace put Goole firmly in the driving seat in their 3-1 win over Glasshoughton Welfare after once again coming back from a goal down.
Glasshoughton had a 1-0 half time advantage but Stuart fired home a 51st minute penalty and one from open play before Kevin Smith wrapped it up in the 69th minute.
Selby Town's miserable form continued with a 1-0 defeat at Borrowash Victoria leaving them down in sixth place.
And Tadcaster Albion lost 4-2 to nine men in division one. Barry Rankin struck in the 66th minute and Paul Hook netted in the 78th for goal-shy Albion - but the reduced Garforth Town had already done the damage.
Garforth lost Ross Martin after 32 minutes with the score at 2-0 and Paul Robinson two minutes from time - but the Brewers were unable to make the most of the extra men.
