I WAS interested in your article about 14year old Georgina Saxon's campaign to stop horses being taken to the continent for slaughter (March 30).
One reads so many negative reports of young people these days that it is heartening to read about Georgina's efforts to help animals that can't stick up for themselves.
A year or so ago I went to a meeting which was trying to find bone marrow donors for a little girl in the village. The hall was full of people wanting to help.
I thought then how wonderful the young people were; unfortunately their efforts don't seem to get the recognition they deserve.
Finally, I compliment your reporter Dennis Towle and photographer Garry Atkinson on a well written and well illustrated article.
