Already doomed Scarborough were no match for an already promoted and carefree Malton and Norton side who played exhilarating rugby to win the derby 38-0.
The superior fitness and organisation within the Malton side was always going to cause problems for a ponderous and ageing visiting side who had little to offer apart from a big front row.
Once Carl Muscroft touched down in the fourth minute, Ian Cooke kicking the conversion, the hosts were always in command.
Centre Liam Cowton raced through to score, Cooke again on target as the Malton pack swarmed all over.
Some of the drives from the line outs were awesome, one leading to flanker Andy Mitchell galloping over.
The second half was punctuated with heavy rain squalls, but Malton carried on the demolition.
One excellent piece of handling, with Chris Creber at the hub, gave impressive No 8 James McKay the chance to charge over for Cooke to convert and add to his ever growing points total. A sweeping move along the right wing ended with McKay charging over again to score wide out.
But Malton saved the best for last. From a ruck 30 metres out Creber fed David Webster who quickly transferred to Tim Chapman, who flipped the ball Fijian style over his head to left wing Tom Stephenson to get himself over. A magnificent kick from the touchline from Cooke rounded off the scoring.
