Nestle Rowntree ground out a 3-3 draw in the mud at Ripon thirds.
Conditions dictated a forward-orientated duel and the two well-matched packs gave no quarter.
Ripon took the lead with a tenth-minute penalty and Trees were grateful to their youngest player, Matt O'Sullivan, for landing an equaliser ten minutes from time.
As Ripon surged forward visiting full-back Ashleigh Walters held the home winger up forcing him out of play, while O'Sullivan's last-ditch penalty flew just wide.
