WOULDN'T it be more logical to build the new swimming pool at the Barbican site in York first?
Then people like myself who benefit greatly from swimming, ie asthmatics and people with arthritis, could continue getting the exercise they so badly need.
Swimming is also good for the state of mind. I find while I am swimming I either forget my troubles or put them in perspective.
The Barbican is the most central of all our pools and is accessible to most people living in the York and Selby areas.
My grandchildren and I are regular users of this pool and would be most unlikely to be able to use the other pools as they are far more difficult for us to get to.
Please don't close our Barbican pool.
