THE semi-finals of the York Unique-Phoenix League saw the PDL Trophy holders, Sun ease into the final after a 4-1 win over Hospital Social Club 'A'.
Chris Thompson with 14 and 19-dart legs shone for Sun who will play Cygnet 'A' who disposed of Alice Hawthorn with a 4-0 scoreline.
The Cygnet 'B' triples team of Paul Cooper, Ian Hartley and Ally Wray put out Acomb's Stu Morton, Andy Morton and Martin Cooper by a 2-0 score, while Hospital Social Club 'A' (John Quantock, John Smith and Daz Bailey) knocked out Acomb's second triples team of Mike Harris, Rob Henman and Dean Saxton by the same score.
Dave Binks and Nick Harteveld (HSC 'A') won through to the pairs final after defeating Cygnet 'A's Pete Leake-Dave Mason with a 27-dart deciding leg.
The second semi was an all-Sun affair which saw hot favourites Chris Thompson-Tony Cooper go out to colleagues Dave Gibbons-Kev Walton.
The division two individual semi-finals had youngster Tom Hair (Blacksmith's Arms) putting out Cygnet 'B's Ally Wray. Hair took the first leg with a maximum for 19 darts then added a 22-darter in the second leg. Hair will contest the final against Blacksmith's Tony Brown who defeated Flag's Mick McLeod.
The division one individual finalists are both from Hospital Social Club 'A', John Quantock put out Alice Hawthorn's Jon O'Mara (19) with 19 and 25-dart legs to set up the final against holder John Smith who defeated Cygnet 'A's Kev O'Hara with 23 and 25 darts.
The competition finals and presentation night are at Holgate WMC on Monday, April 19 at 8.30pm.
