Ernst & Young has appointed Harrogate-based Polo PR Partnership Ltd to coordinate a trade and business press campaign focusing on the tax implications for multi-national companies of European Union expansion.
The campaign, targeting the leading pan-European publications that serve sectors ranging from automotive to utilities, involves liaison with Ernst & Young industry specialists across Europe.
Polo PR director Tim Flanagan said: "On May 1 the largest single expansion of the EU will take place, with ten countries becoming member states. The tax implications for multi-nationals operating in the 15 existing EU countries are wide-ranging, and through this campaign Ernst & Young will show how tax effective supply chain management can bring major financial and logistical benefits to the businesses that have their enlargement strategy in place."
Chris Hinze, worldwide director of marketing of tax and law at Ernst & Young, said: "Polo was appointed to handle this work on our behalf because they have a results-focused approach and a very hands-on attitude at the most senior level."
