DISCOS of the world rejoice. The middle-of-the-road Tina Turner wannabe has returned. Wobble out on to the dancefloor on those high heels and stake your claim with a judiciously-placed handbag.
I wish I could say Anastacia was more than that, because her voice bristles with fire, but she doesn't stretch the envelope. I wouldn't say she's a one-note performer, more a trademark one.
Seldom a song goes by without her dropping her big voice on a big chorus, turning the album into a succession of oversized culprits trying to outdo one another. An honourable mention goes to I Do, which veers off towards Evanescence territory, but the rest? Listen for them after Simply The Best on the wedding disco playlist.
