Oo la la! It's not surprising that the staff of Harrogate-based Cicada are particularly chirpy just lately.

The public relations firm celebrated achieving the Investors In People standard by jetting to Paris for a surprise overnight stay.

It is the culmination of a hugely successful year for the award-winning Cicada team, and managing director Di Burton was keen to reward their efforts.

They enjoyed a celebratory evening meal at one of the French capital's most famous restaurants, followed by a day of sightseeing and shopping.

First stop was the Eiffel Tower, where the team posed with their Investors In People plaque.

Cicada joins the ranks of leading UK employers who have been involved with Investors In People since its inception in 1990.

Di said: "This award is the icing on the cake of a very successful 12 months. Achieving Investors In People is a real milestone for Cicada, and I felt that a trip to Paris was the perfect reward for the team's hard work and commitment."

The seven-strong Cicada team serve a prestigious client base, including the Institute Of Directors, McCormicks Solicitors, the Royal Entomological Society and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
