Wigginton Black Horse were the only team to beat the Leeper Hare York and District League Reserve 'B' leaders Huntington in league action before their re-match and they repeated the feat with a 5-3 win to complete a daring double.

Stephen Pearson, Matthew Wash (2), Angus Clapham and Ben Petts were the Black Horse marksmen with Dave Routledge, Kevin Barnes and Ian Proctor sharing the replies.

Easingwold moved into third place after a 7-0 home win over Barmby Moor but it was the visitors who controlled proceedings in the first half without converting their dominance into goals.

Mike Smith managed to get one goal for the home side before half-time and three goals early in the second half completely changed the course of the game. Paul Simpson netted four times, Mike Hartley added another and Smith added a second to his tally.

Poppleton went down 4-2 at home to New Earswick and, having played two games more than the teams around them, are staring relegation in the face. Goals from Jamie Hegarty (2), John Conroy and Robert Cole did the damage, Jamie Agnew responding twice for Poppleton, including one from the penalty spot.

Andy Arnill and Simon Gatenby scored for Heslington at home to Haxby, but the visitors won 3-2 with the winner coming from the penalty spot to leave Heslington needing a miracle to avoid relegation.

Both Hamilton Panthers and Nestl Rowntree won their Reserve 'C' games as three teams fight for the promotion places. The other, Thorpe United, were in FA Cup action.

Nestl thrashed Moor Lane 8-0, while goals from Steve Gagan (3) and Craig Fletcher (2) gave The Panthers a 5-1 home win over bottom of the table Civil Service.

Tom Caldwell, Tom Jackson (2) and Craig Welford scored for Hemingbrough in their 4-0 triumph at Rufforth, while goals from James Romeniuk and Lee Wiper were enough to see Wilberfoss to a 2-1 win at Riccall, whose Gary Jackson scored.

Reserve 'D' leaders Tockwith overcame nearest challengers Amotherby 3-1 to remain on course for the title. Phil Darley, Henry Burton and James Wardman were the Tockwith strikers, Amotherby relying on an own goal in response.

Stillington were at Norwich Union, where they missed a first half penalty as the home side turned round with a one-goal lead, scored by Mike Richardson.

The Insurancemen only made sure of the points with two goals, from David Hodge and James Hudd, in the last ten minutes.

Steve Graham and Paul Pittock scored in the first half for York RI at home to Norton - enough to seal a 2 -0 win.

Fulford were two goals up on LNER Builders through Steve Dunn and Howard Cooper but Liam King struck twice to level matters for The Builders only then for Steve Cooper to hit a winner for Fulford in the dying minutes.
