IT'S typical of City of York Council to create the new Monks Cross Park and Ride then wonder where the bus route is going to be. They should have considered that first.
It seems the council is considering taking the bus route through Muncastergate (March 23).
Then where?
The roads through Muncaster are far too narrow for buses and think of the potential traffic build-up while waiting for a bus to make a right turn across a very busy main road, and on a bend too.
The drivers have a problem with Elmfield Avenue and that's on a straight stretch.
The other idea is routing it through Straylands Grove, but where will it go then?
And why will it maybe take ten years to put a rising bollard in place?
The obvious solution is to go straight along Malton Road and into town, or is that too easy?
