JAFFA can put the squeeze on his rivals at Market Rasen tomorrow.
The 12-year-old, who returned from a lengthy absence to win at Leicester earlier this month, is fancied to follow-up in the John Bennett & West Rasen Heritage Centre Handicap Chase over two-and-a-half miles.
Jaffa was a winner over this course-and-distance earlier in his career, so knows what to expect from this right-handed track.
He is fancied to score again for permit-holder Jill Wormall, who has done a fine job of nursing him back to winning form after almost two years on the sidelines.
Tony McCoy will be the star riding attraction at the Lincolnshire course, and the champion jockey can keep himself, and his supporters, happy by scoring on Storm Prince in the Horserace Betting Levy Board Handicap Hurdle.
John Spearing's gelding has been rejuvenated by the fitting of blinkers and has won his last two starts, at Wincanton and Warwick, in great style. A hat-trick could well be on the cards. McCoy is fancied to double-up on the smart Golden Odyssey (4-50).
The marketrasenraces.co.uk Novices' Chase, worth £10,000, is the richest race on the card, and it could be worth giving another chance to former useful hurdler, Fireaway, who unseated his rider on his chasing debut on his long-awaited reappearance 11 days ago.
Up at Kelso, £40,000 will be up for grabs in the Ashleybank Investments Scottish Borders National over four miles.
Sue Smith, who intends to run both Artic Jack and Ardent Scout in next Saturday's Grand National, could well land this sizeable prize, en route to Aintree, with Tipsy Mouse.
The eight-year-old was an early casualty on his latest start in the Eider Chase at Newcastle, but had won his previous two starts in the style of a progressive performer.
At Huntingdon, make a note of Malton-born rider Andrew Tinkler, who teams-up with Late Claim and Dominican Monk, both of whom have sound chances.
Tinkler has ridden a winner on each of the last three days and is one of the leading conditional jockeys this winter.
Attached to Nicky Henderson's Lambourn yard, he is napped to score on Late Claim in the Hartford Juvenile Novices' Handicap Hurdle. There will be a more family atmosphere if Dominican Monk gains his second win of the campaign in the bumper.
The gelding is trained by Colin Tinkler, Andrew's father.
