Pocklington hope to catch up with their Yorkshire Shield backlog at Keighley tomorrow.

The first two rounds of the Shield should have been completed before Christmas, but the competition has been severely disrupted by rescheduled league and national cup demands.

Keighley are currently near the top of Yorkshire One, two divisions above Pockington, so the hosts will present a good test. Pocklington take an 18-man squad to West Yorkshire, buoyed by the return of hooker Matt Moore, who has recently eased himself back into action following a knee injury.

Pocklington's mini-rugby section are also on duty on Saturday when they play host to the touring Durham City minis (kick off 12.30pm).

Also in Yorkshire Shield action are York RI, who will field a strong side at home to Wath-on-Dearne.

It's friendly fire for Selby who travel to Market Rasen in a club fixture in preparation of their 'must-win' Yorkshire One league encounter against Old Crossleyans at Sandhill Lane the week after.

For tomorrow's trip to North Lincolnshire, Shaun Austerfield returns to play full-back, though the rest of the back division remains the same as that which mauled Morley last week.

Jason Cicero is restored to the second row, where he will be partnered by the impressive Kevin Weston.

Academy player Dan Porter is upgraded to the substitutes' bench alongside prop replacement Mark Tomlinson and Jamie Pocklington, who is available again after injury.

Neither York, Malton and Norton nor Harrogate first XV's have games this weekend.

However, York's ranks, whose second XV match tomorrow has been moved to Pontefract, are reminded that coach Paul 'Stan' Matthews has called a players' meeting at Clifton Park on Thursday, April 1.
