Heworth ARLC are unlikely to make many changes for their visit to off-form Widnes St Marie's on Saturday.
The Villagers don't have that big a squad at the moment, and player-coach Brendan Carlyle was unlikely to blood youngsters in readiness for next season as the club's under-17s team could reach their Yorkshire Junior League top four play-offs.
"I don't want to ruin their chances," said Carlyle, who could have Nigel Wilson available after work commitments forced him to play in the reserves' home game last week rather than travel to Eastmoor with the first team.
Carlyle, meanwhile, was hoping his side, whose place in the bottom two of the Arriva Trains Conference second division was confirmed by defeat last week, may pick up form now there is no pressure left.
"It might be more relaxed but you never know," he said.
"Widnes have been struggling since Bobbie Goulding left as coach (to become Rochdale Hornets' chief) but you never know what kind of team they'll put out at home, so we'll have to see how it goes."
York Acorn should be up to somewhere near full-strength as they entertain fourth-placed Ince Rosebridge.
Former York Wasps player Andy Lee returns after a four-game suspension, while Alan Willits is back from unavailability. Craig Fox and Nicky Caldwell are expected to return from injury.
Winger cum full-back Kyle Palmer will also step up again into the first team as the club continue the policy of blooding youngsters.
Coach Dave Kay said: "The aims for the rest of the season are to get the morale up and enjoy the games without any pressure."
New Earswick All Blacks are still waiting for Batley Boys to play Kippax to find out if they have qualified for the top-four play-offs in the CMS Yorkshire League senior division.
All Blacks occupy fourth spot after completing all their games but Batley Boys could leapfrog them if they beat second-placed Kippax in their last game of the campaign.
Heworth 'A' have no game in division three.
Selby Warriors will hope to return to free-scoring form when they visit West Bowling 'B' in the Pennine League fifth division.
The fourth-placed Warriors lost to York Acorn 'A' last week, a result which gave the Blue and Golds reserves the title.
Neither they, nor mid-table York Groves, have a game this week.
