SALARIES and related benefits are looking good in York for 2004, according to the latest survey from Select Appointments.
Telesales operatives can expect to earn up to £15,000 and team leaders £21,000, while call centre managers in the area can expect to earn £30,000.
Demand is high for secretarial and administration work, with secretaries earning up to £17,000. Office supervisors in the area can command up to £19,000 and PAs up to £23,000.
The survey was conducted across the areas that Select specialises in: secretarial and administration, call centre and contact centre, accountancy and finance, sales and marketing and legal roles.
A pension package was offered by 99 per cent of organisations, with more than half of those also offering some kind of health policy. An impressive 66 per cent were also offered performance related pay and 55 per cent of organisations also operate a flexible working policy.
Clare Pearson, senior consultant at Select Appointments in York, said: "The market here is booming, and employers are looking for high-quality candidates. This is demonstrated in the packages and basic salaries that are now being offered.
"Candidates are increasingly interested in flexible benefits packages as an incentive to move company. Maintaining the work-life balance is at the forefront of many people's minds and this has started to be reflected in the packages offered by forward- thinking employers."
