Turkish youth international Lev Yalcin was to lead the attack against Doncaster Rovers reserves today following international duty for Turkey Under-19s.
The teenage striker, who turns 19 tomorrow, was to play up front alongside Adam Arthur to keep him match-fit after his week away.
Also in the team was Graeme Law, who is 'not a million miles away from fitness'. Mark Ovendale was again between the sticks to try to win his senior place back from former understudy Chris Porter, while recent first-teamers Sean Davies, Steve Downes, Steve Brackstone and Matthew Coad were also in the reserves' line-up.
Other good news for City is that shin-splints sufferer Liam George started light jogging this week.
Manager Chris Brass said: "He will be like a new signing when he's back and hopefully he will still have a part to play before the end of the season."
City: Ovendale, Law, Baynes, Coad, Staley, Davies, Downes, Brackstone, Yalcin, Arthur, Stewart. Subs: Ashcroft, Stockdale, Kamara, Haw, Webster.
