Chris Storey (JT Rogers) was a surprise runaway winner of Sunday's 30-peg sell-out on Horseshoe Lake at Raker with 63lb 7oz from unfancied peg 27.

Offering pole and pellet under a near-side bush he dragged out a stream of small carp to 5lb.

Organiser Paul Kozyra (Anglers Corner) took second from peg 19. Offering pole and caster at nine and 13 metres, he took around 10lb of silver fish, plus small carp, for his 29lb 10oz.

Poole Bridge Farm at Wheldrake played host for Sunday's 34-peg York Tackle League event won by Steve Brand (Malton) from corner peg four on the old pond.

Offering pole with red maggot and worm over chopped worm, he netted two small tench, plus roach and skimmers, for 11lb 13oz.

Phil Emmerson (Market Weighton) was on peg 24 where he used maggot at 11 metres for an-all roach 6lb 11oz.

The recently re-stocked Tollerton Ponds hosted Sunday's 20-pegger fished on Kingfisher Lake.

Dave Ward (York) led from peg 13 where he took 31-10-0 of the new pasties offering pole and maggot to a small bush at his side.

Terry Carlton (Acomb Tackle) was second from peg 15 where he targeted the margins with pole, pellet and corn for a 24-14-0 mixed bag of carp, tench and ide.

The wind had eased enough to make pole-fishing an option, with difficulty, for Sunday's 65-peg open on Cedar Lake at the Oaks.

Harrogate-based venue expert Gary Pawlett (Oaks) took advantage of his corner draw on peg seven to net 32lb 7oz of small carp to 2lb fishing pole and pellet at the bottom of the far ledge.

Another regular framer at the Sessay, North Yorkshire, complex is Stef Armitage. The Team Glum man used pole and pellet down the track at another corner peg seven, for 26lb 9oz of small carp.

Fish were well spread around the Woodlands complex once again on Sunday with all six lakes in use featuring in the prize-list.

Scott Lister (Big Waters) topped the 55-field from peg one on Mallard.

Taking advantage of the shelter afforded by the extra cover of the corner peg he fished pole to the island and into the corner for 64lb 4oz of quality carp.

Heading up a string of feeder and bomb weights was Malcolm Dunlop (Shimano Quaker Match Group) who used a small ground bait feeder and corn from Wagtail eight for an all carp 45lb 1oz.

Top weight off Kestrel was John McGarell (MAP Elton) who hair-rigged corn from peg 15 for 35lb 1oz of carp to 6lb.
