AUSSIE centre Aaron Wood was last night banned for one game by the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee to rule him out of Sunday's Powergen Challenge Cup quarter-final at Huddersfield.
The 25-year-old had been sent off for a high tackle ten minutes into the fifth-round clash at Featherstone, a game the Knights won against all the odds as an Alex Godfrey try in the last minute booked their place in the last eight.
While Wood sits out the McAlpine Stadium encounter, fellow centre Chris Langley is hopeful of shaking off the injury which has kept him out for two weeks.
His possible return, plus that of loose-forward Damian Ball (back) after a three-week lay-off, and the availability of second-row John Smith after suspension, would provide coach Richard Agar with much-needed options on Sunday.
However, the injury jinx has not abated. Dan Briggs (knee) is the latest on the treatment table, and though fellow prop Craig Forsyth should be okay despite being forced off in Sunday's Arriva Trains Cup defeat at Batley with a head injury.
Both Chris Smith (knee) and Mick Ramsden (knee) will be checked later this week but both are doubtful, while Rob Kama (ribs) is still out and Andy Burland, Ryan Benjefield and Tom Andrews are all cup-tied.
The Supporters' Club will run buses to Sunday's match. Seats available preferably for Supporters' Club members. Membership costs £2 a year, full details from Mike Miller on 01904 750500, leaving name and contact number.
All bookings must be via the Knights office (01904 656105) by noon on Friday or thereafter on 01904 750500. No bookings will be taken after 8pm Saturday. Buses will be numbered and supporters allocated one. One bus will leave Huntington Stadium 11am to take in the 'Dinner at The George' offer (details from Knights office).
Prices, depending on numbers, will be £7 adults, £5 12 to 16-year-olds, £1 under-12s.
