ADAM Jones scored five tries as York Acorn ARL Under-14s powered their way to a 50-12 home win against Wigan-based Abraham Guest Sports College in a friendly fixture.
Dave Leeke, Ross Varley, Steve Doswell, Oliver Harrison and Tom Harrison all crossing for a try each with Ross Varley kicking four goals and Doswell one.
York Acorn U16s turned on the style to complete the double over Bentley.
Acorn's centres were in prime form with Tom Sunman and James Cooper excelling in attack and defence.
Try scorers were Adam Sellers, Adam Winterburn, Timmy Elliott, Jack Swainsbury, Matthew Tyssen and Sunman. Lee Acaster kicked two goals and Karl Heaton one.
Tyler Dawson scored Acorn U12s only try in their 24-4 defeat at the hands of Dudley Hill after the York side put together the best move of the match.
Stuart Leeke was man of the match and Matty Woods the most improved.
York Acorn U8s were out-muscled by a stronger Victoria Rangers side.
Ben Church and Harry Bromwich scored Acorn's touchdowns. while Ashleigh Hyde was named man of the match.
Henry Andrews and Callum Langan also tackled well.
