AS part of the council's anti-litter campaign, the street environment officers will be visiting secondary schools to talk to young people about their responsibilities and duty of care towards their community and encourage them to think about litter and take pride in the city.
We will also be urging primary school pupils to carry out litter picks and promote good citizenship through poster competitions.
As stated in Mrs Robinson's letter (March 18), this initiative will hopefully help ensure young people become more responsible adults who will look after and appreciate the environment in which they live.

Street environment manager,
St Leonard's Place,
