RELEGATED York will get a taste of what to expect next season when they travel to Goole for a club match Saturday.
Goole are riding high in Yorkshire One and are in with a chance of the promotion play-off spot, so it will be quite a test for York, who will be playing in that league next season.
With the exception of Tom Copeland, who comes in at full-back in place of the unavailable Mike Ford, the York backs are the same as those that battled so bravely last week against runaway North Two East champions Hull.
However, there are a number of changes in the forwards where Simon Humphries replaces Nick Hare in the front row with Rob Allen on stand-by to replace Jon Sharpe should he fail a fitness test on an injured knee.
Brad Macdonald returns to the second row in the place of Matt Halifax, whose work commitments prevent him from travelling. With No 8 Ian Davies unavailable, Andy Kay moves to that position with his place at wing forward being taken by former skipper Jeremy Clutton.
With no league games scheduled for the next two weeks, Malton and Norton entertain Driffield in a friendly.
Although already relegated, Driffield still have plenty to play for as they travel to Gloucester for the semi-final of the Powergen Intermediate Cup next week so those involved on Saturday will be eager to book their places in the team.
Malton make a couple of enforced changes. Tim Chapman is unavailable so David Webster will take his place in the centre, having missed the last four weeks with a groin injury.
David Cooke will take a rest from the back row to allow one or two niggling injuries to heal and he will be replaced by Chris Robson.
Selby have arranged a club game with Morley at Sandhill Lane with their next Yorkshire One game being a must-win home fixture against Old Crossleyans.
The back division against Morley shows three changes, one positional, from the team which disappointed at Wheatley Hills last Saturday.
Andy Bennett returns in the centre with Andy Gabel switching to the wing. Toby Pemberton is unavailable and Martin Bramley comes into the first XV for the first time this season at stand-off. With Jason Cicero and Jamie Pocklington rested, Ed Sweeting comes into the second row with Tony Godfrey being tried at No 8 rather than in one of his more accustomed positions in the backs. Only two substitutes are named - Sam Longthorpe, the prop replacement, and Paul Scott, who played on the wing last week.
Pocklington turn out a Development XV at home to Hessle (2.15pm).
Teenagers Kris Thelman and Tob Shann (backs) and Chris Pottage and Phil Drew (flankers) come in to join the rest of the squad.
Pocklington Merovingians are away for the weekend as their 50-strong party heads to Worcestershire for their annual tour.
Harrogate head to Stourbridge for a National Three match with skipper Rees Morgan, who has not played since November because of injury.
York RI are without a game this weekend.
