COACH Richard Agar reckons he will have little difficulty keeping York City Knights' collective feet on the ground despite Sunday's magical win at Featherstone.
The Knights follow up their historic Powergen Challenge Cup fifth round triumph by returning Arriva Trains Cup group stages with an away trip to Batley.
That match is followed seven days later by their big cup quarter-final against Huddersfield Giants at the McAlpine Stadium, but Agar is sure his players know where the club's priorities lie.
"They're a good bunch, they will come back down," said Agar. "It's great that we've got something to look forward to as regards the tie at the McAlpine but, although we're not looking too far in front, there's excitement about the league season too and that's what it's all about for us.
"The cup is providing us with a lovely sideline and getting this far is great. Hopefully the players can earn recognition from it and they have the chance to play on the big stage, but our minds are well and truly on the league season while we also want to progress in the Arriva Trains Cup.
"We're looking in a good position (in the ATC group) and we want to do as well as we can - and keep shocking people."
The Knights' National League Two rivals, Hunslet Hawks, enjoyed a magical moment in the Challenge Cup last season as they knocked out Super League club Huddersfield, but their season tailed off. Agar was confident it would not happen to the Knights.
"What Hunslet did last year is not an issue," he said.
The Knights, meanwhile, enjoyed a light training session on Tuesday, 48 hours after their 12-man exploits at Post Office Road. They had a dip in the swimming pool and followed up by doing their video review work in the Rook and Gaskill pub opposite Walmgate Bar - in the pub's 'Knights Conservatory'.
"Our session on Tuesday took on a bit more of a relaxed theme," explained Agar, whose side return to the training paddock tonight.
"We're not spending too much time celebrating but injuries and the tough run of games we've had has left people feeling a bit of wear and tear.
"We did our review there and it has hopefully helped to keep everyone refreshed."
