Langleys, the York and Lincoln-based law firm is to build a landmark new centre on the outskirts of Lincoln.
The firm, which has 14 partners and a staff of 180 split between York and Lincoln, has acquired the former Bulgin Power site, close to Lincoln's western ring road.
In a £4.5 million investment, the building will be demolished and replaced by a 50,000sq ft hi-tech building, 16,500sq ft of which will be immediately occupied by Langleys staff with the remainder rented on short leases.
The firm's existing two centres in Lincoln will be sold, although it is retaining a small high street office.
Work begins in the next few weeks and is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
Chris Jones, senior partner, said: "This will in no way affect our York operation."
