ALMOST everything was against York City Knights. Injuries had left them with only 15 fit players two days before the tie; history told them that they hadn't won at Featherstone Rovers in 47 years; and the referee sent off a player after nine minutes.
But the one thing they have on their side is spirit. In its brief existence, the club has engendered the sort of camaraderie and self-belief that many more venerable teams would envy.
It carried them to a fantastic victory yesterday, and set up an exciting Cup quarter final clash. These are Knights to remember.
