YORK RI completed the double over Bramley Phoenix in an entertaining 17-12 away win.
Despite having Nathan Ashman, Andrew Morse and Mike Duggan back to strengthen the squad RI found themselves behind after only five minutes, home winger Sullivan crossing in the corner.
RI hit back almost immediately, good interpassing between Lightwing and Hobson ended with Lightwing being hauled down short of the line but from the recycled ball David Sowray crashed over.
With what little breeze there was behind them in the second half, RI took the game to Bramley and were rewarded with a well worked move that made space for Tim Nash to score under the posts. Matthew Yates converted.
The visitors extended their lead with only ten minutes left, a chip ahead by Yates was smartly gathered by Howard Reed who crossed in the corner.
With the clock running down Bramley returned a wayward kick for a converted try, but the double was never in doubt.
