RICHARD Cooper has been the main mover in the Evening Press Player of the Year contest over the past week.
The combative midfielder's performances have been one of the few positive aspects in the disappointing defeats against Kidderminster and Scunthorpe.
Cooper picked up four points from both games, being pipped to the man-of-the-match awards by Stuart Wise (Kidderminster) and Andy Bell (Scunthorpe).
On-loan midfielder Justin Walker received the remaining point at Kidderminster in his farewell Minstermen appearance while leader Darren Dunning was also similarly rewarded in the 3-1 home defeat against Scunthorpe.
Standings: Dunning 34 points, Ovendale 26, Bullock 24, Nogan 22, Hope 20, Merris 11, Ward 11, Cooper 10, Wood 10, Edmondson 9, Wise 9, Brass 8, Smith 8, Davies 6, Parkin 5, Walker 5, Bell 3, Yalcin 2, Brackstone 1, Fox 1, George 1, Shaw 1, Wilford 1.
