To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the death of Sex Pistols' bass guitarist Sid Vicious, EMI has assembled a collection of his solo material.
The album has 17 tracks, some of which are previously unreleased. My Way, Something Else and C'mon Everybody, the hit singles, appear first followed by a live set with Mick Jones (The Clash), Steve Dior (The Idols) and Jerry Nolan & Arthur Kane (New York Dolls).
The music is OK but Sid Vicious was never the most gifted of singers, and the compilation contains three separate versions of both My Way and Something Else. He was a rock legend, more for his style and dress than his music, so I suspect only dedicated punk followers will buy.
